Financial Crime Compliance Specialist

A career opportunity has arisen in our Financial Crime Compliance team.

You will be responsible for conducting transaction monitoring and analysis, identifying high-risk matters, and preparing Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Review referred cases and escalate high-risk matters where necessary
  • Input SMRs into the relevant database
  • Maintain accurate and timely records
Requirements
  • Prior experience in writing SMRs is essential

This role requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of conducting thorough investigations and identifying complex financial crime risks.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual who can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure effective case management
  • Providing training and support to colleagues on SMR procedures
  • Conducting research and analyzing data to identify trends and patterns

Suitable candidates will have a strong understanding of AUSTRAC requirements and regulations.
