About the Role:

As a seasoned liquor retail professional, you will oversee store operations and drive success by managing product mix, stock levels, pricing, supplier negotiations, and compliance with liquor regulations. This role requires a strong leader who can train and supervise a team, enhance customer service, and implement strategic advertising initiatives in collaboration with brands and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the liquor retail store.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, stock levels, and pricing to maximise profitability.
  • Negotiate and set prices with suppliers to ensure optimal sales performance.
  • Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws and health & safety regulations.
  • Train, supervise, and develop team members to deliver excellent service.
  • Execute merchandising strategies to optimise store layout and product displays.
  • Drive sales through promotions, supplier collaborations, and advertising initiatives.
  • Conduct stock-takes and monitor inventory turnover.
  • Utilise software systems for stock management, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a strong customer focus.

Requirements:

  • Experience in retail liquor management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of liquor products, pricing, and stock control.
  • Proficiency in software systems and retail management software.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to train and motivate a team.
  • Strong knowledge of liquor licensing and health & safety regulations.
  • Passion for the liquor industry and a customer-first approach.
