Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR and WHS Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on all aspects of human resources and workplace safety. Your primary focus will be on ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, while also providing guidance on HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support on HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, and remuneration.
  • Develop and implement workplace safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Chair the WHS committee and ensure that all WHS-related matters are addressed and resolved.
  • Provide training and education to employees on WHS matters, including hazard identification and control.
  • Monitor and report on WHS performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that WHS is integrated into all aspects of the business.
Requirements
  • Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR and WHS, preferably in a healthcare or laboratory setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including WHS and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
