We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making a real impact.

The role will involve overseeing all financial systems, transactions, and reporting processes across our locations. This includes managing end-of-month close, reconciliations, BAS, GST, PAYG and payroll processes, maintaining and improving cashflow models and financial reports for board review, and ensuring financial compliance, documentation, and internal controls are up to date.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Australian tax, payroll, and compliance obligations, as well as experience with project-based businesses, ideally in professional services or consulting. They will also have high proficiency in Xero or similar accounting platforms, and familiarity with financial/project management systems like Total Synergy or Deltek Vantagepoint.

In addition to technical skills, the Finance Manager will need excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solution-focused mindset. A proactive, systems-oriented thinker who enjoys improving how things work will be well-suited to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

">

• Oversee all financial systems, transactions, and reporting processes across all locations.

• Ensure financial compliance, documentation, and internal controls are up to date.

• Identify and implement system/process improvements and automation opportunities.

• Liaise with external accountants and payroll providers across Australia.

• Contribute to dashboard reporting, KPIs and strategic planning insights.

Requirements:

">

• CA/CPA qualified (or working towards)

">

• At least 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting leadership role.

">

• Strong knowledge of Australian tax, payroll, and compliance obligations.

">

• Experience with project-based businesses, ideally in professional services or consulting.

">

• High proficiency in Xero or similar accounting platforms.

">

• Familiarity with financial/project management systems like Total Synergy or Deltek Vantagepoint.

">
