This role involves working closely with engineering authorities to collaborate with stakeholders, conduct technical assessments, and review engineering change proposals. As a senior electrical engineer, you will apply advanced technical expertise to provide innovative solutions while adhering to cost and schedule constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • As the primary interface between customers, management, and the implementation team, conduct systems analysis to derive functional requirements that meet electrical safety standards.
  • Engage in system design activities to ensure design artefacts are compatible with the baselined product and consistent across all subsystems, meeting performance requirements.
  • Perform risk analysis as required to support hazard log development, safety case arguments, and risk mitigation actions.
  • Ensure assigned electrical systems/subsystems are developed and implemented according to relevant standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build trust and deliver integration and mission support solutions.

Direct engagement with peers, Australian Defence Force personnel, capability partners, sub-contractors, and suppliers is involved in this role.

Knowledge sharing, mentoring, and enrollment in our national engineering network are also part of this position, enabled by the support of the engineering manager.
