Family Law Practice Leader

This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Family Law professional to take on a leadership role and drive growth in their practice.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the family law practice, driving further growth and expansion. They will manage and mentor a team of family lawyers and support staff, taking ownership of client relationships and ongoing strategy for the practice.

They will work collaboratively with other Family Law professionals, leveraging their own referral network while collaborating with other partners in areas such as commercial, wills & estates, and property law.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8+ years of solid post-admission experience in Family Law and possess an accredited specialist certification (highly regarded but not essential). They will also demonstrate the ability to lead a legal team and manage complex client matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the family law practice in the Melbourne office, driving further growth
  • Manage and mentor a team of family lawyers and support staff
  • Take ownership of client relationships and ongoing strategy for the practice
  • Work collaboratively with other Family Law professionals
  • Leverage your own referral network while collaborating with other partners
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of post-admission experience in Family Law
  • Accredited specialist certification (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Ability to lead a legal team and manage complex client matters
  • Existing client relationships and/or a portable practice preferred but not essential
