Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mechanical technician to join our team in a brand new automated manufacturing facility.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Performing routine and complex mechanical work in a manufacturing environment;
  • Fault finding on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment using diagnostic tools and techniques;
  • Repairs to food processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency;
  • Comply with workplace health and safety legislation, policy and procedures including working under a permit system;
  • Deal with internal and external customers at all levels inside and outside the company;
  • Liaising with other trades, maintenance management and production management teams;

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Strong troubleshooting experience with ability to diagnose complex faults quickly and efficiently;
  • Demonstrated experience performing mechanical maintenance of an industrial manufacturing facility;
  • Experience across a range of systems including hydraulic and pneumatic;
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications;
  • Be committed and self-motivated with excellent organisational skills;
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment when required;
  • Demonstrated experience working within a team environment;
  • Previous experience in FMCG industry an advantage;
