The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a full-time Cook to join our kitchen team. You'll prepare high-quality daily meals for residents in a well-established community set on 11 hectares of beautifully maintained gardens and greenery.

You'll be a great communicator, enjoy being hands-on with 1-2 others in the kitchen at a time, and building relationships with residents. If you have experience as a Kitchenhand, Chef, or Cook, come and share your passion for food.

This is a permanent full-time position working Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9-5pm, Friday 12-7pm, and Saturday 9-7pm. Shift times may adjust slightly.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the daily kitchen preparation and serving of meals (chopping, peeling, cooking, and plating etc).
  2. Work in a small team to deliver restaurant-quality meals.
  3. Ensure food safety compliance and kitchen cleanliness by following all procedures.
  4. Build resident satisfaction by engaging with residents, building relationships, and taking feedback.
Requirements
  1. Knowledge and/or experience as a Cook, Chef, Kitchenhand, or similar.
  2. Food Safety Certificate (desirable, not essential).
  3. A friendly and warm persona with a passion for food and chatting with residents.
  4. Current Police check (required).
  5. Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required).
