About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Support Worker to join our Wallsend Hub team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live independently, participate in their local community, and engage in meaningful opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering person-centred programs to support clients in living an active lifestyle and participating in their community
  • Working with behaviour support plans to utilise positive behaviour strategies
  • Assisting and supporting clients with personal and hygiene care
  • Communicating with families about clients' progress
  • Maintaining progress notes and record-keeping

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disability. As a positive and energetic individual, you will be able to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people. Your experience in the Disability sector and demonstrated knowledge of supporting high needs clients is essential. You will also need to be able to support others with personal and hygiene care and be happy to have this as part of your role. Personal qualities of resilience, empathy, and self-confidence are also essential.
