Housing Settlement Program Coordinator

Program Overview:
Multicultural Australia's Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP) supports newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers to integrate, access housing, and build independent lives in Australia. The program provides tailored support through collaboration with communities, businesses, and government partners to create inclusive environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic housing initiatives for newly arrived humanitarian entrants;
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clients receive essential support;
- Oversee team performance across two service delivery areas – Accommodation and Welcome and Initial Support Services - to deliver high-quality, agile, and culturally appropriate support;
- Develop and expand short-term and long-term housing options by identifying opportunities and cultivating relationships with real estate agents, property managers, and developers;
- Coordinate airport arrivals and essential appointments for clients to achieve settlement goals and milestones;
- Supervise, mentor, and support individuals and teams to drive performance and identify professional development requirements;
- Manage contractual Performance Indicators across service delivery areas and ensure compliance with organizational and program specific requirements;
- Support continuous improvement of the program through process and operational reviews;
- Commitment to work rotational rosters on Multicultural Australia's emergency phone.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Minimum four years' experience in management and leadership roles including proven experience in providing supervision and support to a multi-disciplinary team of workers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds;
- Demonstrated experience in the housing sector with established networks and strong working relationships with real estate agents, property managers, and developers;
- Strong knowledge of logistics and service coordination within a client-focused environment;
- Dynamic relationship-building skills to maximize stakeholder relationships both within Multicultural Australia and externally;
- Strong decision-making and prioritizing skills to balance organisational objectives and contribute to shared agendas;
- Experience in leading teams towards achieving Key Performance Indicators;
- Knowledge and ability in complying with funding requirements and delivering reports of a high standard;
- Capacity to convene meetings, deliver workshops, and training, and engage in consultation processes;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Passion for supporting capacity building in individuals and teams, and shaping Multicultural Australia's organisational culture.
