As a retail leader, you will be responsible for inspiring and mentoring your team on a daily basis. This includes coaching your team to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills, leading from the front to provide an exceptional customer experience, and creating a strong safety mindset within your team.
A day in the life of this role may include recruiting, onboarding, and inducting high-calibre new team members, managing stock levels, and ensuring that the team is aware of stock integrity processes. You will also be proactive in keeping your knowledge up-to-date on pet care, products, and services provided by the company.
In addition, you will be responsible for creating a fun and supportive culture instore where your team loves coming to work every day, proactively supporting local marketing opportunities and sponsorships, and demonstrating success in driving sales.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Experience in a similar store leadership role or ready to take that next step up in your retail management career
- Demonstrated success in driving sales
- Strong leadership with ability to motivate and build a high-performing team with a positive culture
- High degree of resilience and ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to create a positive culture of safety
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Established business acumen
- Ability to be flexible in order to meet changing work conditions
- High degree of interpersonal and communication skills
