Debt Recovery Specialist

We are currently hiring for an experienced collector to join our Patient Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing overdue debt accounts (consumer) working to targets driving down outstanding debt.
- Negotiating payment plans with patients where appropriate and tracking outcomes.
- Escalating cases to collection houses according to internal process.
- Delivery of excellent customer service to all patients at all times, going beyond the expectation to ensure the patient is fully informed with accurate information.
- Liaising with internal contacts to manage disputes and resolve any issues delaying payment.
- Achieving, maintaining and improving the set targets and key performance indicators regarding outstanding debtors.
- The preparation of documentation and delivery of information to patients with regards to debtor recovery on a daily basis.
- An intermediate to experienced collector with either a commercial or consumer background.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer experience while at the same time driving outcomes and meeting targets.
- Empathetic manner, strong negotiation skills, ability to prioritise and enjoy what you do and be motivated to succeed.
This role will see you on the phone discussing outstanding debt with patients and negotiating payment arrangements.
