Job Title: Environment Maintenance Assistant

">Environment Maintenance Role Overview

The environment maintenance role plays a vital part in maintaining a pristine condition of stores, ensuring trolleys are available for use and providing customers and colleagues with a hygienically clean environment.

This role is an opportunity to be part of the proactive services team, working collaboratively with colleagues across departments to deliver specific cleaning needs.

">Key Responsibilities and Tasks
  1. Complete tasks allocated daily such as sweeping shop floors, cleaning walls, bathrooms, trolleys bays, and team rooms, along with emptying bins.
  2. Collect trolleys from car parks and surrounding areas on foot.
  3. Work across departments to meet specific cleaning requirements.
  4. Provide assistance to customers in store by answering questions or offering directions.
  5. Participate in comprehensive training programs for operating various equipment and tools that enhance job efficiency and safety.
">Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong ambition and love for retail with a passion for people growth.
  • Physical fitness is necessary due to physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift loads between 5-10kgs.
  • Flexibility to work in various environments, including shop floors, fridges, freezers, and carparks.
  • Availability to work across Monday-Sunday and shifts starting from 6am or 5pm.
  • A keen eye for cleanliness and attention to small details.
