Leading Environmental Services Specialist

- Manage Council's obligation under the Food Act 2006, including engaging and managing contractors for food premise inspections and assessments.
- Oversee Council's property asset maintenance, including inspections of council buildings and management of Handyman/Trades Assistant.
- Coordinate Council's responsibilities related to the local airport.
- Oversight of Council's new Building and Plumbing Applications submitted by Private Certification Company.
- Ensure compliance with Council's water and sewerage operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Council's local law requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients and stakeholders to maintain productive working relationships.
About You
You will be a motivated professional with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in environmental services. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in environmental science, planning, law or a related field.
- Significant experience in environmental services, including building and plumbing applications, water and sewerage operations, and local law compliance.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
