Are you a civil engineer seeking a challenging role with opportunities for growth and development? We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Discipline Engineer - Civil/Structural to join our team.

About the Role

This is a key position within our engineering organization, responsible for leading civil and structural technical strategies, standards and frameworks. As a Principal Discipline Engineer, you will ensure the engineering process and design are optimized, enabling safe, efficient construction, commissioning and operation.

  • Develop and implement effective engineering strategies, standards and frameworks to support project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of engineering design resources, processes and tools.
  • Provide technical input to engineering project framing documents and ensure compliance with legislations, engineering standards and asset engineering standards.
  • Identify and implement cost efficiencies into the design.
  • Integrate internal lessons learned and external best practices across the project.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience with major projects, EPCM project delivery and site operations.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical engineering design and ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong experience with design of process plants.
  • Ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
  • Good technical and communication skills, including the ability to analyse data and produce concise reports and presentations.
  • Solutions focused with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
