Job Summary:

The Finance Officer role at Workin' Gear Group is a key position that requires an enthusiastic accounting and finance professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and revitalising the finance function, including managing creditor and debtor accounts, undertaking related routine documentation and processing, and calculating and investigating costs.

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Functions
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Input invoice data
  • Weekly Bank Reconciliations
  • EFTPOS and Merchant reconciliations
  • Payment of accounts with Director guidance
  • Maintenance and control of the general ledger
  • Contact with suppliers and clients to improve cash flow and business savings
  • Manage e-commerce systems
  • Review and maintain financial procedures
  • Full administration of XERO functions
  • Maintain and balance Asset Register and Depreciation Schedule
  • Organise work, set priorities and complete tasks within timeframes
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll information
  • Data entry for timesheets and personnel transactions
  • Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports
  • Maintain staff rate changes and award changes
  • Prepare and remit fortnightly superannuation contributions
  • End of year processing and reconciliation
  • Monthly payroll reconciliations and accruals
  • Maintenance of payroll liability and provision accounts
  • Prepare onboarding documents for new employees
  • Maintain employee files and comply with confidentiality requirements
  • Process worker's compensation payments and records
Accounting and Financial Expertise:
  • Preparation of quarterly financial reports
  • Preparation and analysis of annual budgets
  • Interpreting Financial Information
  • Cash Flow Management and Modelling
  • Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance
