Job Title: Chief Information Officer Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced support specialist to provide high-level administrative assistance to the Chief Information Officer. This is a key role within our organisation, requiring excellent communication skills, autonomy, and attention to detail.

Our organisation is an independent statutory body established by legislation. Our functions outline the responsibilities we have to achieve our purpose:

  • provide education, assistance, advice, and guidance to employers, employees, outworkers, and organisations
  • promote and monitor compliance with workplace laws
  • inquire into and investigate breaches of legislation
  • take appropriate enforcement action
  • perform our functions efficiently, effectively, economically, and ethically
Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage workflow and matters requiring action or approval
  • Work as part of a team, including acting as a point of contact between the CIO and direct reports
  • Diary management and coordination of travel, meetings, papers, and events
  • Financial processing and administration, including travel reconciliations and purchasing accounts
  • Draft basic correspondence as required
  • Provide administrative support for the branch, including maintaining organisation charts, mailing lists, leave schedules, ordering stationery, and tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to proactively undertake a broad range of administrative tasks
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative, judgement, and discretion
  • Able to problem-solve and respond to changing priorities
  • High level of attention to detail and possess strong organisational skills
  • High level of competency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to quickly acquire proficiency of technology systems and processes
