About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide essential care and assistance to elderly individuals in need.

As an Aged Care Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for older adults and ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Your responsibilities will involve offering personal care, emotional support, and practical assistance to promote independence and maintain a safe and nurturing environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assisting with medication management
  • Supporting clients with meal preparation and feeding
  • Providing transportation and accompanying clients to appointments or community activities
  • Assisting with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Developing personalized strategies to efficiently provide care for the client
  • Completing documentation and managing case logbooks

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience working in aged care or a similar caregiving role
  • Demonstrated understanding and empathy for the needs and challenges faced by elderly individuals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong observation and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
  • Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
