Senior Civil Engineer Job Description

This role involves leading a Community Development team in Darwin. You will have the opportunity to deliver civil design projects, including roads infrastructure, subdivisions, and remote community facilities.

The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, strong project management experience, and the ability to lead a team. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality solutions that meet their expectations.

About The Position

This is an independent design, project delivery, and stakeholder management role. You will liaise with engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Civil design and project management across a wide range of projects
  • Construction phase support, design review, stakeholder management, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration, and quality audits
  • Liaising with engineers, designers, and drafters
  • Adhering to professional standards, ethics, and quality procedures
  • Managing clients and other consultants
  • Assisting with project management and business development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia
  • Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and documentation
  • Knowledge of applicable Australian standards, codes, and Territory requirements
  • Ability to obtain CP Eng and NT Registration as soon as eligible
  • Eligible to obtain Defence baseline security clearance
