About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and provide specialist nursing support, care, and advice to thousands of people across Australia who are impacted by prostate cancer. This role offers a flexible work schedule, allowing you to work from home or our office four days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a resource for healthcare professionals and community organisations.
  • Provide practical and emotional support to individuals affected by prostate cancer.
  • Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based information and education via phone and electronic communications.
  • Guide patients to appropriate internal and external support programs.
  • Contribute to educational programs and staff development.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and research programs.
  • Maintain professional standards in nursing and cancer care.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Registered Nurse (Division 1-General) with AHPRA registration.
  • A minimum of five years post-graduation experience.
  • At least three years' experience working with prostate cancer patients.
  • Advanced knowledge in urology or oncology nursing and supportive care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, internet, email, and databases.
