About our Mission:

We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our team as a Numeracy Specialist. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with students aged 15-18 in small class settings, providing high-quality education tailored to their individual needs.

The key goal of this role is to develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum, creating engaging lesson plans and using various teaching methods to convey mathematical concepts.

As a Numeracy Specialist, you will be responsible for providing timely feedback to students, differentiating instruction to meet individual needs, and engaging in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education.

We serve some of Victoria's most vulnerable yet inspiring youth, brimming with potential. Our education model emphasizes culturally responsive pedagogy, fostering the growth and development of all students.

The key duties of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive math curriculum
  • Creating engaging and interactive lesson plans
  • Using various teaching methods to convey mathematical concepts
  • Providing timely feedback to students
  • Differentiating instruction to meet individual needs
  • Engaging in continuous professional development

Our unique environment focuses on helping students develop and change their trajectories. Teachers employ High Impact Engagement Strategies (HIES) and High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) within a Trauma-Informed and Culturally Responsive framework.

Our wellbeing programs address the stresses of teaching, including biweekly wellbeing groups led by a clinician and access to individual sessions with the wellbeing team.
