Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to join our mining equipment division. The successful candidate will have a trade qualification and previous experience with underground or surface mining equipment.

The role involves performing pre-start inspections and routine maintenance, diagnosing faults and completing repairs on a variety of diesel-powered mining equipment, including LHDs and Drift Runners. The successful candidate must be able to maintain a safe and efficient worksite while identifying opportunities for improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs on diesel-powered mining equipment
  • Replacing or refurbishing components as part of planned maintenance
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient worksite
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Trade qualification as a diesel mechanic or similar
  • Previous experience with underground or surface mining equipment (highly desirable)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive work ethic
  • Excellent communication and a team-first attitude
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & drug screening
  • Forklift licence (preferred)
