About The Role

APX Civil Pty Ltd are seeking a passionate Diesel Plant Mechanic to join our team in Yallah, NSW. This is a casual position, with the opportunity to progress to full-time. As a Diesel Plant Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our heavy machinery, ensuring the smooth operation of our construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on a variety of diesel-powered heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, ranging in sizes from 1.7 to 21t.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement timely and effective solutions
  • Carry out inspections, servicing, and overhauls to keep our equipment in top condition
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our machinery

What We're Looking For
  • Formal qualifications in Diesel Mechanics or a related field
  • Extensive experience (3+ years) as a Diesel Plant Mechanic, preferably in the construction or civil industry
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and heavy equipment diagnostics and repair
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
