Hydrogeologist Role
This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced hydrogeologist to join our specialist groundwater team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Drilling supervision and geological logging;
- Monitoring bore and VWP installations;
- Conducting field tests (slug tests, packer tests, and pumping tests);
- Routine collection of water samples;
- Bore design and technical specifications;
- Data analysis and interpretation;
- Providing input and planning of projects including field programs;
- Reporting; and
- Learning AGE's bespoke numerical modelling techniques.
About the Opportunity
As a hydrogeologist, you will work closely with our team to investigate, collect, manage, analyse and report on groundwater activities and data.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in earth science, geoscience, environmental science or geology. Postgraduate studies in hydrogeology would be an advantage;
- 2+ years of field experience including drilling supervision and groundwater sampling;
- Willingness to undertake field work throughout various sites in Western Australia as well as interstate locations on occasion;
- An appreciation of the importance of accurate data collection;
- Courage and determination;
- Strong verbal and written communication and sound report writing skills; and
- A valid manual driver's license, preferably with 4WD experience and certification.
