Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the delivery of effective injury prevention, claims management and injury management processes in support of business objectives.

  • Assist to develop and implement simple, relevant and effective injury and claims management policies, procedures and strategies that minimise operational impact, reduce costs and continually improve health and safety results.
  • Work collaboratively with the Injury Management & Wellbeing Manager to develop and contribute to the annual Safety Strategy with key health and wellbeing objectives, targets and timeframes for implementation.
  • Provide practical training and coaching to leaders in support of improved knowledge and awareness of health and wellbeing for their team and the greater business.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in relevant Allied Health such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychologist. Additionally, they will possess strong knowledge of Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation legislation nationally with demonstrated cost and claim reductions through implementation of injury prevention programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach and develop to the Wellbeing & Injury Management Team Advisors and Coordinator, ensuring development of their skills and high levels of customer focus in support of stores and support centre.
  • Facilitate the timely and sustainable return to work of injured team members, ensuring lost time, claim durations and claim costs are minimized.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationship with all key stakeholders.
