Job Summary

AFL Recruitment is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant to join our client's personal injury team. As a key member of the team, you will provide administrative support to the managing partner and assist with personal injury law matters.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a growing law firm. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to the managing partner, including answering phone calls, greeting clients, and organizing meetings and diaries;
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, barristers, doctors, and insurers to ensure seamless communication;
  • Typing correspondence, forms, and court documents, as well as preparing briefs to barristers;
  • Filing and general administration tasks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 12 months of experience in legal administration or secretarial work, preferably in a law firm;
  • Some experience in personal injury law, preferably in CTP/motor accidents, workers compensation, and/or TPD;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines;
  • A passion for working in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.
