We are seeking a skilled Senior Medical Administrator to join our client, a reputable specialist practice in close proximity to the CBD. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background working in a surgical setting, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to medical staff.
  • Managing daily office operations and maintaining a seamless workflow.
  • Coordinating patient appointments, procedures, and surgeries.
  • Greeting patients and handling check-ins, ensuring completion of necessary forms.
  • Assisting patients with inquiries, providing information on services and procedures.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and handling sensitive information discreetly.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and managing patient records and medical files.
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical documentation.
  • Processing insurance claims and handling billing inquiries.
  • Verifying patient insurance coverage.
  • Assisting with patient billing issues and managing accounts receivable.

This role requires:

  • Proven experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in a medical practice or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in medical software.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • A valid driver's license for occasional travel.

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
