Salary:

The salary package for this position is approximately $399,000 per annum, based on the Staff Specialists (State) Award at level 1, year 5.

Job Description:

As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality clinical outcomes, district KPIs, and strategic priorities. You will provide oversight to systems assuring the quality of clinical care, including processes of adverse incident review and review of professional credentials, privileges, and conduct.

You will participate in all decisions and accountabilities regarding the management of the Hub and areas under your portfolio, providing advice and exerting influence over aspects of the actual delivery of care and clinical services in collaboration with executive nursing management and senior operational managers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Medical Practitioner with AHPRA
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA) or expected to receive FRACMA in the next six months or other specialist recognition with significant relevant experience as a clinical leader
  • Demonstrated leadership skills within a complex health service with the ability to motivate, inspire, and organise staff to achieve organisational, program, and professional outcomes
