We are seeking an Aboriginal Female Community Worker to join our team on a 12-month contract. This position is identified as female due to the cultural needs of the role, and will involve supporting Aboriginal women and families in accessing healthcare, wellbeing programs and community services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide culturally appropriate support, advocacy and referrals for women and families.
- Work closely with health professionals, Elders and community members to ensure services are accessible and effective.
- Assist with the delivery of health promotion and wellbeing programs.
- Build strong, respectful relationships within the community.
- At least 2 years experience working in a Community Services role.
- Experience working with Aboriginal Communities.
- Certificate IV in Community Services or relevant counselling qualification.
