This role involves providing high-quality, family-centred care that supports the health, development and wellbeing of children aged 0-6. The Family Support Parenting Practitioner will facilitate inclusive and engaging parenting groups tailored to diverse family needs, providing home-based support that builds parenting confidence and community connections.
The successful applicant will promote healthy child development through play-based learning and parental guidance, identifying and responding to early developmental concerns with appropriate referrals. They will also support community-building initiatives that foster belonging and participation, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to ensure wraparound support and optimal outcomes for families.
A key aspect of this role is leading and participating in community education initiatives that promote health, resilience and connection across the municipality. This includes working closely with families, MCH Nurses and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care that meets the unique needs of each family.
