Role Overview

The Communications and Engagement Program Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing end-to-end communications and engagement functions to support the achievement of program and organisational objectives. This position is responsible for managing a range of activities, including providing strategic advice, developing and implementing communications and engagement plans, and working with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic advice to senior executives on communications and engagement matters.
  • Manage the development and implementation of communications and engagement strategies, including media and community outreach.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to establish and deliver project communication and engagement plans.
  • Develop and implement best practice communication and engagement strategies to engage diverse communities and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on stakeholder interests, assess program and project risks, and provide recommendations to senior executives.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in communications or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Over 5 years of proven stakeholder management experience and ability to develop strong relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and respond to emerging issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly skilled in negotiation and consultation to work with diverse stakeholders.
