The Opportunity

As part of our growth strategy, we seek an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Newcastle. This role will play a critical part in shaping the future of our water business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Conduct site investigations, perform calculations, model designs, oversee drafting, and prepare reports and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and solutions both on-site and remotely.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices, as well as relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse audiences.
