Operations Leadership Opportunity

About the Role:

  • We seek an experienced operations leader to oversee the operational performance of a thermal generation asset.

The successful candidate will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production assets while contributing to the transition to a cleaner energy future.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage production activities, overseeing a team of up to 80 members and coordinating with external contractors.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of boilers, turbines, auxiliary systems, and coal handling infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to optimize plant availability and align production goals.
  • Manage emergency response protocols and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, team development, and strategic planning.

You bring:

  • Leadership experience in thermal power generation or large industrial operations.
  • Qualifications in engineering, science, or management—and relevant industry experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • A sound understanding of the National Electricity Market and energy industry operations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead strategic initiatives.
