Genetic Specialist

We seek an accomplished Genetic Specialist to drive excellence in laboratory operations.

  • This role requires advanced scientific expertise and problem-solving skills to support high-quality diagnostic procedures.
  • You will apply your technical knowledge to select, implement, and continuously improve lab processes.
  • Sustain laboratory standards by collaborating with management to validate Quality Control processes.

Broad Responsibilities:

  • Apply scientific knowledge to perform, analyze, and troubleshoot standard diagnostic procedures.
  • Deliver professional services requiring complex practice skills, directly contributing to positive patient outcomes.
  • Supervise the validation of Quality Control processes, working collaboratively to maintain and enhance laboratory standards.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Scientific Expertise: High-level scientific knowledge, technical skill, and ability to perform high-quality laboratory testing, troubleshoot issues, and develop practical solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate staff, work collaboratively, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Organisational Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and independently manage workflows to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Laboratory Operations Experience: Extensive knowledge in medical laboratory disciplines, quality control procedures, and hands-on experience with general lab operations and pathology services.
