Maintenance Fitter Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our site in Rocklea (QLD).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Carrying out mechanical maintenance, installations and corrective tasks on machinery and equipment.
  2. Playing a key role in developing and executing efficient preventative maintenance practices.
  3. Completing preventative maintenance work in a timely manner as directed.
  4. Providing technical support to the maintenance and production teams.
  5. Assisting with root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions for repetitive failures and machine breakdowns.
  6. Ordering components from external suppliers as necessary with appropriate approval.
  7. Responding to requests regarding repair and/or maintenance details to equipment on a technical basis.

The successful candidate will possess:

  1. Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Fitting/Machining) or equivalent qualifications.
  2. Forklift licence (highly regarded).
  3. Experience in CMMS and other maintenance/reliability tools and practices.
  4. Confined space trained (ideal, but not required).
  5. Experience in Paper/Packaging or high-speed manufacturing facilities would be highly regarded.
  6. Ability to work overtime hours as required.

This is a full-time position requiring ongoing working rights.
