Job Title: Skilled Tradesperson
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated tradesperson to join our team as a maintenance fitter.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, maintaining plastic blow moulding equipment and robotic packaging automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled tasks and mechanical breakdown tasks as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
- Work independently at times, but also as part of a team to achieve the best outcome for the business.
- Scope, complete, record, and close out work using MEX Works Orders.
- Support the production team to ensure smooth operation.
- Liaise with electrical trades where required.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to achieve improved safety, productivity, quality, and reliability.
- Maintain spare parts inventory as required.
- Develop problem-solving skills to provide cost-effective solutions that maximise production uptime.
Requirements
Prior experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment is essential. A Cert III Engineering (Mechanical Trade) qualification and hydraulic and pneumatics experience are highly desirable.
