Intensive Care Unit Nurse Position

The Intensive Care Unit at St Vincent's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients.

  • This role requires you to specialise in General/Neuro/Trauma and Cardiothoracic Heart/Lung Transplantation, delivering care in a 1:1 and 2:1 patient-to-nurse environment.

To be successful, you will need to have advanced medical knowledge and skills, as well as strong teamwork and communication skills.

You will be responsible for prioritising workloads in a complex environment, utilising advanced medical equipment and technology, and participating in continuing education and development programs.

  • Key responsibilities include developing and implementing individualised care plans for critically ill patients and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Intensive Care Nursing and holistic care of sedated, ventilated patients.
  • Proven skills in prioritising workloads in a complex environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Committed to ongoing professional learning and development.
