The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in an acute hospital setting, preferably in CCU or ICU, and possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. You will also need to demonstrate effective clinical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Clinical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical knowledge and practices, apply critical thinking skills to complex patient cases, and make informed decisions to enhance patient care.
- Communication and Documentation: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams through clear, concise, and respectful dialogue, and maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and care plans.
- Qualifications: Current registration as a Registered Nurse - Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience: Recent experience working in an acute hospital setting, preferably in CCU or ICU.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, effective clinical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
