Job Overview

The role of Mining Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of production activities. It involves collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver development and production targets.

Mining Engineers work closely with project managers and team members to ensure that mine operating plans, designs, schedules, and budgets are aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing comprehensive mine operating plans that meet business needs.
  • Designing and planning underground infrastructure and level systems.
  • Fostering effective communication with key stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and control processes are in place to align work with plan expectations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in underground metalliferous mining.
  • Strong understanding of mine scheduling and planning principles.
  • Practical experience in underground drainage, power, air, water, ventilation, and backfill techniques.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (essential).
  • Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (QESC) (essential).
