Learning Support Mentor Opportunity

Make a positive impact in the lives of children who have experienced abuse and neglect by providing one-on-one educational support.

This rewarding role involves working with young people to help them engage positively with learning, build confidence, and develop self-esteem. You will provide holistic, specialized education support to bridge the education gap for these children, paving the way for brighter futures.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Working one-on-one with assigned children on a weekly basis for the entire school year.
  • Participating in regular feedback sessions and ongoing support from your manager.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children and as a mentor/tutor (advantageous but not essential). A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are also required. Availability is needed after-school hours, Monday to Friday from 3:30pm onwards.

Requirements and Qualifications

Currently studying at university or having relevant qualifications in Maths and English is an advantage. Competence in Maths and English, ability to work with neurodivergent children, empathetic and understanding nature, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently are all essential qualities for this role.
