Department Liaison Officer Job Description

The Departmental Liaison Officer will play a pivotal role in facilitating effective communication between the Victorian Health Building Authority and multiple Minister's Offices, ensuring alignment with ministerial priorities and streamlined business processes.

About the Role

  • Support cabinet and parliamentary processes by preparing and responding to requests on briefings, legislation, parliamentary questions, and ministerial correspondence.
  • Promote cross-division collaboration to advance key projects, drive business improvements, and deliver on ministerial priorities.
  • Collaborate with experts in services, programs, policy, and legislation to strengthen ties with the Minister's Office and ensure alignment with government priorities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret information from various sources to develop practical solutions and adjust plans as needed.
  • Use influence and negotiation skills to secure buy-in, build support for initiatives, and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, promoting collaboration, trust, and mutual respect.
