Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data warehouse, data pipeline, and data products.
Key Responsibilities- Data Architecture: Assist in the development and delivery of our data and analytics roadmap, ensuring an optimal data delivery architecture and providing the foundation for our data and analytics function.
- ETL Process Optimization: Review and make recommendations in respect of the optimization of our data architecture and processing systems, designing, building, and maintaining ETL processes to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources.
- Data Automation: Automate data workflows such as data ingestion, aggregation, and ETL processing, preparing raw data in data warehouses into a consumable dataset for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Data Products: Build, maintain, and deploy data products for analytics and functional teams on cloud platforms, partnering with the business analyst and functional leaders to develop and deploy machine learning models in production.
- Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security, and compliance through quality control procedures, assisting functional leaders in defining data quality tolerances for key data sources and models.
- Advanced SQL Skills: Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational database management and design.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong proficiency in cloud-based data warehousing, data pipelines, and workflow management tools, working knowledge of cloud-based solutions.
- Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, like Python.
- Data Governance: Strong proficiency in data governance practices, with a focus on data quality (within defined tolerances) and data security.
- Machine Learning: Experience building and deploying machine learning models in production.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, proven ability to work independently and with a team.
- Project Management: Strong project management and organizational skills.
