Job Title: Healthcare Support Specialist

Overview:

The Clinical Support Officer is a vital role in healthcare, supporting the work activities of nurses, midwives, medical staff, and allied health professionals.

This position provides timely and accurate administrative services for members of the healthcare team under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager.

The Healthcare Support Specialist works closely with existing administrative staff at the ward/unit level, complementing existing roles, systems, and processes within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to healthcare teams on designated units.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Manage patient complaints and maintain patient privacy.
  • Analyze complex issues, problem solve, and implement comprehensive change programs.

Requirements:

  • High-level customer service skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.
