Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and talented individual to fill the role of Sports Reporter. This exciting opportunity involves working with our team in Perth, covering various sports events and producing high-quality content.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports journalism, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. They will be responsible for identifying and reacting to breaking stories, monitoring social media and online networks for trending sports news, and delivering content to tight deadlines.

  • Experience in breaking stories with expertise in sports journalism is essential.
  • A strong knowledge of AFL football, cricket, basketball, tennis, and netball is required.
  • A confident sports writing style, on-air presence, and ability to package for TV news are necessary.
  • Strong relationship and network building skills, including with sports media managers, teams, coaches, and players, are also required.
  • Seamless and crisp writing skills, clean copy, including match reports and filing stories, are essential.
