Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Producer/Reporter to join our team. This role involves producing and publishing news articles, social media content, newsletters, and live blogs, as well as managing the homepage.

  • Produce and publish a variety of content, including news articles, social media posts, newsletters, and live blogs.
  • Manage the homepage, ensuring it is up-to-date and engaging.
  • Respond to breaking news, writing and filing stories quickly and accurately.
  • Write across a range of topics, covering rounds including property, as required.
  • Utilise sub-editing and digital production skills to help create and refine content.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain knowledge of current events and issues relevant to the role.
  2. Identify and research story ideas, conducting interviews and gathering information as needed.
  3. Write and edit articles, captions, and other content for online publication.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to produce high-quality content that meets editorial standards.
  5. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including article titles, keywords, and categories.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in journalism, preferably with sub-editing, digital, and social media production.
  • A proven track record of breaking stories and developing contacts.
  • Experience working in an online environment (desirable).
