Rehabilitation services are a crucial aspect of workplace health and injury management. At Acumen, our team delivers high-quality support to clients recovering from various injuries, illnesses, or trauma.

This role offers the opportunity to provide holistic and outcome-focused rehabilitation services. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will utilize clinical reasoning skills and expertise to support clients with diverse range of injuries, illnesses, or trauma.

  • Taking a comprehensive approach to care, working within a multidisciplinary team to support clients' journeys from rehab to healing.
  • Utilizing clinical reasoning skills and expertise to support individuals with a wide range of injuries, illnesses, or trauma.
  • Working collaboratively with motivated clients to develop, implement, and monitor their rehabilitation plans, with access to medical and treatment providers on-site.
  • Conducting specific assessments, including worksite, ergonomic, and ADLs.

We offer flexible working models to accommodate your needs, including part-time (3 or 4 days) or full-time positions. You will receive comprehensive support and mentoring through our direct interaction and extensive onboarding process, ensuring your technical knowledge and expertise are developed and refined.

The hybrid role provides flexibility to tailor your calendar to meet client needs and personal preferences. Defence members work hours are 07:30-15:30, allowing for early starts and finishes.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current unrestricted registration as an OT with AHPRA.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and report writing skills.
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support achievement of rehab goals.
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate.
