A newly created role for a Cyber Governance Lead to take ownership of their cybersecurity program.
This role reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and is responsible for creating a cybersecurity program to safeguard the assets of an organisation.
This role is at the start of a 3-year program of work with significant opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities:- Drive the implementation and enhancement of cybersecurity controls and security systems.
- Run the cybersecurity risk management program, including identification, classification, remediation and regular risk assessments of IT, OT and IoT systems.
- Oversee the management of third-party IT risk portfolio and perform controls assessments.
- Implement a cyber educational awareness program and manage and respond to audit actions.
- Run and uplift the security operations function and mentor a security engineer.
- Approximately 5+ years in a similar role, such as Principal, Lead or GRC Manager, in a sizable business.
- In-depth knowledge of security controls frameworks and experience aligning and building robust measures in line with the organisation's risk appetite and threat landscape.
- Desirable: technical background to understand security by design/architecture, experience in responding to cyber security incidents and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 etc.
