Supporting People with Disabilities

Our organization supports individuals with disabilities to live independently and pursue their goals. We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team.

About the Role

This role involves providing support in SIL homes to enable clients to live as autonomously as possible. You will work closely with clients who require sensitive and understanding care, demonstrating empathy and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients in daily activities to promote independence.
  • Provide emotional support and understanding to clients with complex needs.
  • Coordinate appointments and schedules for clients with multiple commitments.
Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is highly regarded.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including manual handling tasks.
Working Conditions:

You will be required to hold or obtain various certifications, including Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid, and CPR.
