Disability Support Worker – Endeavour Foundation

Endeavour Foundation supports people with disabilities to live, learn, work and flourish according to their own interests and priorities. We are a team focused on making possibilities a reality for people with a disability, and for people seeking employment, education and training opportunities.

Details
  • Permanent, part-time hours with set fortnightly rosters
  • Located in Gladstone, SIL Home
  • Flexible availability required with 2 overnight shifts per week
Responsibilities
  • Provide support within SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes to help clients live as independently as possible.
  • Support clients who require sensitive manners and understanding of complex behaviours.
  • Demonstrate empathy and strong interpersonal skills; assist with documentation for clients who have multiple appointments and complex scheduling.
To Be Successful
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends and sleepovers (penalty rates apply).
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
  • The capacity to meet the physical requirements as some manual handling tasks may be involved.

You will be required to hold or be willing to obtain:

  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
  • First Aid and CPR
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Australian open Driver's License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle
