About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager specialising in Risk to join our team at Technology People Australia. As a key member of our Risk Management team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that may impact our business operations, across infrastructure, applications, networks, and security.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Risk Management Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential threats to our business.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize mitigation efforts.
  • Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Work with our business heads to identify any business vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk mitigation plans and strategies.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Risk Mitigation Measures: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to project teams on risk management best practices and procedures.
  • Analyse and Report on Key Risk Metrics: Analyse and report on key risk metrics and trends to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Establish Governance: Establish and maintain effective governance structures to ensure risk management best practices are followed.
Your Background
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in project management, with a focus on risk management and business vulnerability.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically and identify creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead successful projects and initiatives.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in risk management and business vulnerability.
